Purdue forward Mason Gillis enters NCAA Transfer Portal

The Purdue Boilermakers finished this season as national champion runner-ups after falling short to the UConn Huskies in the national championship game. Now that the year is officially over, some players will be moving on and won’t be with the program next season, one of which is forward Mason Gillis.

On Wednesday, On3 learned that the senior power forward has entered the NCAA transfer portal and will be looking for a new home for the 2024-25 season.

Gillis played high school basketball at New Castle High School in New Castle, IN, where he was a three-star prospect. According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, he was the No. 144 overall recruit in the 2019 cycle.
