'Disturbed' TV star finds 'lingering' infection that lasted 'years' with 'zero symptoms'

HGTV star Christina Hall has never been one to shy away from getting candid about her health. The home renovation extraordinaire takes to social media this April to share a “disturbing” truth about her body as she discovered an “infection” that had been “lingering years and years.”

Many HGTV fans will recognize Christina Hall from her time spent appearing on home renovation shows alongside her ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa. Now, she’s the star of Christina on the Coast. She has a different husband and Tarek is married to Netflix star Heather Rae El Moussa.

Christina Hall’s infection

On Wednesday, April 10, Christina took to Instagram to share a “quick PSA” with her followers because she thought the topic was “important.”

The reality TV star explains how when she was 16 she had a “tooth injury to a back molar and had to have a root canal.”

Then, she explains how in 2020 she had an X-ray. The scan showed an infection of the previous root canal, so she had it redone.

She writes: “Fast forward to last week and the infection came back.”

To her surprise, she had a lingering infection in her tooth for years with “zero symptoms.”

HGTV star warns her followers

After Christina’s shock infection, she shared her plan of action with her fanbase.

She wrote on IG Stories how the experience was “pretty disturbing.” She added: “I’m taking care of it next week via explant. But, leaving an infection that long can cause all kinds of health complications…”

Christina urges her followers to get their root canals checked “ASAP,” adding: “With no root, you can’t feel there is a problem.”

The star was previously “in pain for years” as she also dealt with an autoimmune disease. So, it’s clear to see why she makes her health a top priority.
