Wolves suffer another injury scare

Injuries have dominated the second half of Wolves’ campaign. Multiple first-team players have been out on the sidelines including stars Pedro Neto and Matheus Cunha.

Thankfully, many seem to be returning to fitness with the Brazilian making his comeback to the pitch against Burnley last week.

However, it seems that Wolves now have another potential setback. Noha Lemina, who has been a constant presence on the bench of late, was forced off for the Under 21s with a potential hamstring problem.

Wolves have been on the end of some terrible VAR decisions this season. There have been multiple occasions where, despite replays, the officials have come to the wrong conclusion at Stockley Park.

On Saturday, Wolves were on the end of another decision that was highly controversial as Max Kilman’s late equaliser was ruled out for offside. This saw widespread calls for VAR to be scrapped by the Molineux faithful. However, it may not be as promising as it sounds.

This season, if VAR was not in place, Wolves would only move in one position to 10th.

Kilman’s disallowed goal against West Ham caused widespread outrage across the footballing world.

O’Neil was extremely angered by the decision, branding it as ‘one of the worst he has seen’.

While many pundits agreed with the Wolves manager, perhaps more surprisingly, many in the West Ham camp did too.

Alongside David Moyes and Lukasz Fabianski, Antonio has also questioned VAR after the disallowed goal. The striker said the decision was a ‘shambles’ and the system needs to be scrapped.
