Walks of Life Museum in Tuxford is hosting restoration workshops

A museum is hosting traditional building skills workshops.

The workshops at the Walks of Life Museum, Tuxford are part of its heritage education programme, which involves the restoration of a traditional timber framed house.

The workshops are being led by conversation officer Jason Mordan.

Participants will work together with conversation officers and the Nottinghamshire Building Preservation Trust.

The first sessions are set to take place on Monday, April 15 and Tuesday, April 16 and are to prepare the existing solid floor for new super-insulated expanding glass and lime screed.

The following sessions will take place on April 30 and May 3 to lay glass aggregate and under floor heating system and final sessions on May 7 and May 10 to mix and lay lime screed.

All sessions will run from 10am to 3pm at the museum.
