4-2-3-1: Manchester United predicted XI vs Bournemouth, Ten Hag will be looking for revenge

Manchester United will hope to return to winning ways this weekend, taking on Bournemouth at the Vitality on Saturday evening.

Almost a month on from the 4-3 win over Liverpool in the FA Cup and Manchester United are yet to win another game.

We’ve seen a bore draw against Brentford followed up by an exciting 4-3 loss against Chelsea and then a 2-2 draw against Liverpool all while performances have been poor.

It’s the story of the season for Erik ten Hag‘s side, with little to no actual style of play throughout which has seen United overperform significantly.

Injuries have played a part, and they will once again this weekend.

But there’s no excuse, and Ten Hag must have his side at least play well soon, or he may not be here next season.

Ahead of Saturday’s game against Bournemouth, he has the chance to avenge December’s 3-0 thrashing at Old Trafford.

Here’s our predicted line-up.

Predicted Manchester United line-up

For United, Champions League qualification looks slim but performances and points will be as important as ever considering the uncertainty surrounding Ten Hag’s future.

So we therefore expect a strong line-up to be named.

Andre Onana

One position which has seen practically no compromise all campaign is the goalkeeper spot with Andre Onana an absolute shoo-in.

Last week he was again excellent, keeping United in the game during the first half, making that second-half comeback possible.

Diogo Dalot

At right-back, Diogo Dalot gets the nod as he was great here last weekend.

Despite injuries on the left, Dalot has been too good to move position which leaves someone else needing to do so.

Willy Kambwala

Fresh off his impressive outing against Liverpool, Willy Kambwala will start again for United here.

He’ll be hoping to be equally as good this week to further cement his place in the team ahead of the FA Cup semi-final next week.

Harry Maguire

Partnering the 19-year-old will be Harry Maguire, with the injury list leaving these two as the only options for Ten Hag.

He’ll need to be at his best to lead this back-line against a strong Bournemouth side.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

At left-back, Aaron Wan-Bissaka should get the nod due to the fact there’s no fit senior left-back in the squad.

He’s been very hit-and-miss in this position thus far, so needs to do better here, otherwise, Harry Amass is waiting in the wings.

Casemiro

Casemiro has been atrocious lately, but with Ten Hag admitting Scott McTominay is likely to miss the game, he starts again.

With Casemiro being the only real option for this role in the side demonstrates exactly why it’s a priority position this summer.

Kobbie Mainoo

Next to the Brazilian will be Kobbie Mainoo with the 18-year-old fresh off another goal of the season contender.

He’ll need to be at his best in this one as it’s a game which doesn’t inspire us with confidence.

Alejandro Garnacho

On the right, Alejandro Garnacho will look to return to form after a pretty quiet game against Liverpool.

He bagged a brace against Chelsea and this is the level we expect of him now, so he should be back at it here.

Bruno Fernandes

Bruno Fernandes began the comeback with his long, long-range strike against Liverpool and starts again here.

A player we can’t ever see Ten Hag dropping no matter how tired he looks.

Marcus Rashford

Despite injury concerns this week, Ten Hag has admitted Marcus Rashford trained on Thursday which should see him fit to face Bournemouth.

Hopefully, he can return to form as well.

Rasmus Hojlund

Up front for United once again is Rasmus Hojlund who will be desperate to refind his goalscoring streak.

Despite starting the year on fire, he hasn’t scored since returning from injury a month ago.
