This Sunday the NASCAR Cup Series returns to Texas Motor Speedway for the Autotrader Echopark Automotive 400. While fans and drivers have strong opinions about the track, we’re not here to talk racing. We’re here to talk paint schemes.

This week was a little more challenging to come up with our list. Not a lot of new schemes to choose from, but there were some solid ones this week. Some drivers have sponsors returning for the first time this season, others are rocking alternative schemes with their partners.

Being the Lonestar State we do have some special Texas schemes. Even if the racing is lackluster, we’ll at least have these beauties to look at on the track.

Josh Berry No. 4 MINER Ford

Josh Berry MINER Ford

Another week, another new sponsor for Josh Berry. MINER Docks, Doors and More – that schemes looks great and I think the MINER logo is place perfectly.

This is a great way to use that door space. Empty space there almost always ruins these schemes for me. Good on SHR for another solid look this week. 8/10.

Corey LaJoie No. 7 Schluter Systems Chevy

Corey LaJoie Schluter Systems Chevy

An old sponsor returns for Corey LaJoie and Spire Motorsports. This season could be going better for LaJoie, but the good news is he has been able to pull in new sponsorship and retain others.

Schluter Systems gave LaJoie some good schemes in the past. As NASCAR heads to Texas once again, they are back on board with their classic white and orange scheme. 7.5/10.

Harrison Burton No. 21 Freightliner Ford

Harrison Burton Freightliner Ford

It is always strange to see the 21 in anything but a red, white and blue scheme. This week Harrison Burton brings Freightliner on board for the NASCAR Cup Series race at Texas.

Wood Brothers Racing needs some positive momentum. Burton has to show improvement or he might not be in this seat much longer. Good looking car, reminds me of Tron. 7.5/10.

Joey Logano No. 22 AAA Insurance Ford

Joey Logano AAA Insurance Ford

A classic sponsor here – AAA Insurance. The white, blue and red are reminiscent of the Texas state flag. Joey Logano is another driver who needs a good run.

The 22 has a few great AAA schemes in the past. This one is simple, clean, and the entire door and fender are used in the design, which again, I love. 8.5/10.

Bubba Wallace No. 23 Columbia Sportswear Toyota

Bubba Wallace Columbia Sportswear Toyota

My personal favorite for the weekend, Bubba Wallace and Columbia never miss. Now this is an ode to Texas, and purposefully so from the NASCAR driver and sponsor.

Columbia PFG put together another great design. I think there is some topography and maybe some fish scale design embedded on the scheme. Whatever it is, it adds depth. 9/10.

Austin Hill No. 33 United Rentals Chevy

Austin Hill United Rentals Chevy

Austin Hill finally got the call back up to the Cup Series. United Rentals is on board with Hill, the two have a very strong relationship on and off the track together.

This is the first time since 2022, and only the second time in his career that Hill will race the 33 car for Richard Childress Racing in the Cup Series. He’s a promising young driver that RCR really likes. 7.5/10.

John Hunter Nemechek No. 42 ROMCO Equipment Toyota

John Hunter Nemechek Romco Equipment Toyota

A little black and yellow ROMCO design. The associate sponsorships on the fender is almost like a reverse of the old cars before the number was shoved forward on the door.

The 42 has had some underrated paint schemes this year. Need those results to start following, but the Legacy Motor Club Year 2 is going better than Year 1 already. Olipop joins the Club this week, too. 8/10.

Daniel Suárez No. 99 Kubota Chevy

Daniel Suarez Kubota Chevy

Kubota is on board with Daniel Suárez this week. Trackhouse has a great group of sponsors and Kubota is a major one for them. This is a special design though.

We have a lot of great designs on the car, Mexican iconography and other fun things. The attention to detail takes this one over the top, for me. 8.5/10.
