'What a player': Clinton Morrison left blown away by 'outstanding' Wolves player vs Forest

Wolves headed to the City Ground on Saturday afternoon in a game which ended in a 2-2 draw, but one player was absolutely superb.

It was a game which saw Nottingham Forest with far more to play for and it showed in the game.

Wolves were poor in the game with just a few players performing to a level we expect from the Molineux side.

Jose Sa was one as he kept the scoreline level and Wolves in with a chance of grabbing a point as he made seven saves.

There was one other player though who shone even brighter and now he’s been praised by Clinton Morrison on Sky Sports.

Clinton Morrison reacts to ‘outstanding’ Matheus Cunha

On Saturday afternoon, Clinton Morrison was on Soccer Saturday for Sky Sports as Wolves took on Forest.

It was the 40th minute when he was blown away, with Cunha grabbing a goal which was simply phenomenal.

“It’s a fantastic goal, he just picks the ball up in his own half, and he just breaks… he cuts inside Omobamidele and Neco Williams.

“He just drills it right into the top corner.”

“What a player Cunha is,” Morrison raved.

“They have missed him. The finish from Cunha is outstanding.”

The goal was so good that it left Express and Star journalist Liam Keen gobsmacked as well on X.

Matheus Cunha continues where he left off for Wolves

This season, Cunha has been an absolute phenomenon for Wolves.

12 goals scored and six assists in just 27 games show that he’s living up to his price tag after making the £44m look cheap.

We wonder just how good his season might’ve been if he hadn’t picked up an injury.

His previous game in which he’s played longer than 35 minutes was on February 4th against Chelsea – which saw him score three.

Now on his first start back, he’s grabbed a brace. Good to see him back.
