Reporter close to Sullivan claims German will 100% be at West Ham next season

West Ham United director of football Tim Steidten and David Moyes work in completely different ways when it comes to transfers.

Tim Steidten prefers to targets highly talented, yet unpolished gems from abroad like Mohammed Kudus. Meanwhile, West Ham manager David Moyes is well-known for targeting proven Premier League players like James Ward-Prowse and Kurt Zouma.

A recent report claimed the German could actually bring in Paulo Fonseca to replace Moyes, on the go-ahead from the Hammers owners.

Moyes is set to be out of contract at the London Stadium in the summer, and as things stand there are no signs that he will be offered a new deal.

If I’m being honest, I just don’t see how the Scot and the German can work in harmony together. If Steidten is given the keys to the castle, there’s no way that Moyes will just sit idly in the background and have players forced upon him.

It’s just not in the 60-year-old’s character to do that and it definitely isn’t his style. Now a brand new update has been provided and it’s good news for one of them but bad for the other…

Fresh Tim Steidten claim means one thing for David Moyes

The former Bayer Leverkusen man had had a huge impact since he arrived at the London Stadium in the summer of 2023.

We have him to thank for the signings of Kudus, Edson Alvarez and Konstantinos Mavropanos. Meanwhile, Moyes’s signings of Ward-Prowse and Kalvin Phillips haven’t been quite as impressive as Steidten’s additions.

Now a brand new claim has been made about the German director of football…

According to Claret and Hugh – a website with close links to Hammers owner David Sullivan, Tim Steidten will 100% be at the London Stadium next season.

Reports had claimed that he was a target for Liverpool and Newcastle.

And the 44-year-old German is apparently already planning ahead for the summer transfer window.

This means it could well be curtains for the West Ham manager. If the Tim Steidten stays, then David Moyes leaves this summer as far as I’m concerned.

Only time will tell as to whether or not that prediction turns out to be correct though.
