Chris Sutton's funny instant reaction after Ross County beat Rangers and spark Celtic joy

Celtic’s win over St Mirren yesterday put Brendan Rodgers’ side four points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

The 3-0 win put daylight between us and Rangers albeit the Ibrox side had two games in hand. However, at the first time of asking, Philippe Clement‘s side dropped points as they suffered a 3-2 defeat at Dingwall.

Goals from Simon Murray, George Harmon and Josh Sims cancelled out a Jack Baldwin first-half own goal as The Staggies staged an incredible second-half fightback.

Another penalty for James Tavernier in the 89th minute wasn’t enough to rescue Rangers as the Ibrox allowed Ross County to record the first win in their history over the Glasgow club.

That loss sets up a must-win game at Dens Park on Wednesday night and it is a game they simply cannot drop any points in.

Celtic are now firmly in the driving seat and Chris Sutton has shared his reaction to two vital dropped points in the league title race.

Sutton took to social media channel X and posted this funny instant reaction to the Rangers defeat in the Highlands:

Whatever happens on Wednesday night, Celtic know that no matter the result, they will remain on top of the Scottish Premiership heading into the final five fixtures of the post-top-six split.

With the fixtures yet to be announced, Brendan Rodgers knows he has another advantage as he will have three home games with one of those being the final Glasgow Derby of the season.

But for now, the Celtic fans will sit back and relax knowing that all the pressure is on Rangers as the Dingwall stumble has surely dented their confidence heading into their crucial final game in hand.
