The pro-Iranian Hezbollah movement extended its congratulations to Iran on Sunday for what it described as a "qualitative and unprecedented attack" against Israel.
Hezbollah, which is trained and financed by Iran, praised what termed as a "brave and wise decision to respond firmly to the Zionist aggression against the Iranian consulate in Damascus."
"The Islamic Republic has exercised its natural and legal right despite threats, intimidation and pressure, and has implemented its sincere promise with unparalleled courage and great wisdom," a statement by the movement said.
The movement said that the operation achieved its precisely defined military objectives, despite the participation of the United States, its international allies.
