Fast-rising 2026 TE Ian Premer in Lincoln last week to visit Nebraska

2026 TE Ian Premer on visit to Nebraska

Nebraska recently offered junior tight end Ian Premer from Great Bend (Kans.). The Huskers hosted Premer after he visited both in-state schools: Kansas State and Kansas. The 6-foot-6, 205-pound tight end saw practice in Lincoln on Thursday and talked to several coaches while in Nebraska.

“I was able to see a lot,” Premer said. “Obviously I got to watch practice and was impressed by the physicality. I got to talk to my position coaches along with other coaches and those conversations went well.

“After practice, I talked to Coach Rhule about the program and got to know Coach Satterfield, Coach Martin, and Coach Dvoraceck while I was visiting this week.”

“I saw a lot of the campus and liked how compact it is. I was impressed by all of the academic information and their staff. Nebraska takes its academics very seriously.”

Premer was focused at practice on Thursday and watched the Husker tight ends. Nebraska ran a drill that really stood out to Premer.

“I liked the catching drills the tight end did and the one-on-one blocking drill with a running back having to read the block.”

The visit to Nebraska will be Premer’s last for a while. He doesn’t have any other visits planned, but would like to get back to Nebraska

“I do not have other visits planned as of right now, but I would like to get back to Nebraska sometime,” Premer said.

Premer finished his sophomore year with 32 receptions. He had 538 yards receiving, averaging nearly 17 yards per catch, and scored nine touchdowns.
