Report: After Inter Miami, Jorge Mas is now interested in buying one Europe’s biggest clubs

Inter Miami owner Jorge Mas has reportedly expressed an interest in buying one of Europe’s biggest soccer clubs.

The Florida-born billionaire has emerged in recent years as one of the most influential figures in US soccer, with Mas bankrolling Inter Miami alongside his brother David Beckham as well as playing a key in bringing Lionel Messi to MLS last summer.

A figure who is keen to push American soccer to new heights, Mas also has interests in the game outside of Inter Miami and the United States, with the businessman also the president of Spanish side Real Zaragoza.

And now, Mas has expressed an interest in what could be his biggest move yet.

Inter Miami owner interested in buying Italian giants Inter Milan

According to InterLive, Mas has shown an interest in buying Inter Milan, who are on course to win the Serie A title and last year made it to the UEFA Champions League final, where they narrowly lost to Manchester City.

Despite the immense success in recent years, Inter are a club who have had some sticky ownership issues, with Steven Zhang unwilling to let go of the Nerazzurri despite calls from fans and officials to sell up.

Indeed, Mas’ $1bn net worth might be enough to complete a deal for Inter, a takeover that could have some benefits for Inter Miami if the Milan giants were to join the same ownership group.

Yet as per the report, Mas’ interest remains nothing too serious, though the prospect of the American billionaire buying Inter is an exciting one, and one that could have big implications for Inter Miami if a deal was to go through.

Inter Miami could benefit massively through Jorge Mas’ latest plan

Inter Miami are now one of the most recognized clubs on the planet after the arrival of Messi last year, with the Herons having some huge plans and ideas that could take the Florida franchise to the next level.

And Mas taking over at Inter could do just that, with the Italian club one of the biggest and most historic teams in all of Europe and an institution that Inter Miami could benefit from if they were have a mutual link.

MLS teams with similar connections have already enjoyed success with the help of player transfers and fan groups trading ideas, and Inter Miami could be next to undergo a similar process if Mas buys Inter.
