Nicole Scherzinger picked up an Olivier award and, if her fiance Thom Evans gets his way, there’ll be another celebration in the near future.

Ex rugby union star Thom, 39, says he wants to wed former X Factor judge Nicole, 45, very soon. He tells Men’s Health magazine: “I’m looking to get married soon. I proposed to my fiancee in June 2023. “It was one of the best days of my life. Getting married to her and starting a family is something I can’t wait for.”

Former Scottish international Thom also reveals he’s changed his training regime. He says: “I’ve added a lot more functionality into my training. I’m a big golfer and I’m big into my tennis, and having that ability to have the strength but be more functional with it just serves a lot more purpose.

“I’ve swapped in brown rice for the pasta, with chicken, fish and eggs as the main source of protein and some natural fats, like avocado or nuts. My fiance randomly the other day said she’d noticed a difference in me." Former Pussycat Doll Nicole scooped Best Actress in a Musical at Sunday’s Oliviers, one of seven awards for Sunset Boulevard.

She and Thom first met in 2019 when he was a contestant on The X Factor: Celebrity, with Nicole judging. His trio Try Star were eliminated in the semi-finals but he kept in touch with Nicole and they went official in 2020. Thom said of Nicole in 2021: "She’s so easy and fun to be around. I’ve hit the jackpot."

Since the engagement, the former Pussycat Dolls singer shared the shocking news that she is banning her former bandmates from her wedding. Nicole was in the middle of all the drama when the brand broke up in 2010 after reports the band members were unhappy Nicole was perceived at the lead singer.

Relationships within the band took a turn for the worse when the band tried to reunite in 2019 and the creator of the group, Robin Antin, sued Nicole for breach of contract. He claimed that Nicole refused to participate in a reunion tour if she wasn't paid more than her band members Carmit Bachar, Ashley Roberts, Kimberly Wyatt, Jessica Sutta, and Melody Thorton.

Since the band's messy breakup, Nicole has reportedly wants to leave the past behind her. According to a source close to the singer, she feels there is so much "toxic energy" from that era of her life that she doesn't want to impact her dream wedding.
