Manchester United have a piece of good news to report ahead of this coming weekend’s FA Cup semi-final.

The Red Devils havea big injury list which has showed little signs of easing up all season.

But there is a piece of good news, with one short-term absentee making his presence known at Carrington today.

Brazilian winger Antony is back on the training pitches after missing the weekend draw at Bournemouth, a 2-2 draw.

Antony returns to training

Antony was spotted back in training as Manchester United step up preparations for the FA Cup semi-final against Coventry City.

The winger was mysteriously absent from the weekend game, not travelling with thefirst team squad.

Antony was shared images last night of his work behind the scenes at Carrington, taking an ice bath, doing everything he could to get back out there onto the training pitch.

Now he’s made it, he has to convinced Erik ten Hag he should start the game against the Championship side.

Alejandro Garnacho was also present in training, with United swiftly moving on after his social media errors, following his half-time substitution at the weekend.

Ethan Wheatley features

Erik ten Hag used the training session to take a closer look at youth team strikerEthan Wheatley, who was on the bench at the weekend.

Wheatley has been in prolific form for the academy sides this season, and had another opportunity to show what he can do. He is hoping to be part of the squad this weekend.

His presence in training did mean Wheatley, along with Harry Amass, were not involved as Manchester United’s under-18s won the league title earlier today, sealing the trophy with a 2-1 win over Wolves.

The pair have made valuable contributions over the course of the season and will fully deserve the medals coming their way.
