The World AI Creator Awards (WAICA) is an awards program dedicated to recognizing creators in artificial intelligence. It is at the origin of the first beauty pageant dedicated to (highly realistic) AI-generated avatars. The judging criteria will include beauty, of course, but also the skill and technique involved in creating the avatar, and the contestant's influence, or 'social clout.' The latter will be determined according to their rate of engagement with their fans on various platforms, including Instagram. Arguably, the Miss AI contest is more about recognizing technical skill and artistic talent than reinforcing certain entrenched beauty standards. The top three winners will share prizes totaling over $20,000.

The competition is completely free to enter and open to any AI-generated model creator aged 18 or over. All creation tools are allowed, from Midjourney to DeepAI. Each candidate can submit an unlimited number of avatars.

The contest is organized in partnership with Fanvue, a social network for content creators in the style of OnlyFans, but specializing in 100% virtual influencers. The jury includes Aitana Lopez and Emily Pellegrini, two totally virtual influencers created by AI. The winners will be announced on May 10.

Entries are now open for the Miss AI contest.
