'It’s working honey': Alina Habba complains judges try to make her look stupid

Alina Habba, longtime attorney for former President Donald Trump, raged on Fox News Tuesday about the fact that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg had the nerve to bring his hush money charges against the former president in Manhattan.

Her particular gripe is what a liberal area it is, making jury selection challenging — although they have already managed to agree to several jurors following Judge Juan Merchan chastising Trump's counsel for trying to take excessive time reviewing prospective jurors' social media activity for anti-Trump statements.

"I think that we're seeing a painful, unfortunately, selection because we're in the state of New York, which is definitely by design," said Habba.

"There is no question that Bragg bringing this in New York, look at the Fulton County D.A., and so on and so forth, Washington, D.C., these venues are selected exactly for this reason."

She went on to add that it's also "by design" that they got a judge who would admonish Trump's attorneys, to "make [them] look inept," the way she was made to look inept at Trump's civil trials.

"I've been admonished like that — it's by design," Habba said. "It's make you appear to be stupid in front of a jury."

Habba was roundly roasted by commenters on social media.

"It’s working honey…. you appear to be the worst attorney in history," replied Todd Lambert.

"Oh hey!" added @SiriusDrakeCGBI. "How is faking being smart working out for you Alina?"

Others laughed at her complaint that a prosecutor in New York would try his case in New York, where he was elected to prosecute crimes, and where the crime is alleged to have taken place.

"He brought it in New York because he is the Manhattan DA," wrote voting rights attorney Marc Elias.

"Yes, the reason is because venue is wherever the crime takes place. As it has been since Myles Standish hopped off the Mayflower," wrote former GOP strategist turned Meidas Touch editor Ron Filipkowski.

"Yes it certainly is curious that the Manhattan DA didn't bring this case in Oklahoma," wrote political YouTuber Brian Tyler Cohen.
