The government of Tatarstan, Russia, has prepared a new youth employment support program aimed at facilitating the employment of minors aged 14-18, including in enterprises of the defense industry complex, according to the Russian edition Kommersant.

According to Kommersant, the authorities of Tatarstan are concerned that young people in the republic are increasingly preferring education under general, secondary vocational, and higher education programs instead of going to work.

Therefore, the new employment support program aims to facilitate the employment of minors aged 14-18 and promote the employment of teenagers from families in socially dangerous situations.

Specific points in the program include supporting the employment of youth up to 35 years old in agriculture and enterprises of the defense industry complex.

Kommersant cites official statistics, according to which there are currently over 1 million young people aged 14 to 35 in the republic.
