Argentina has purchased 24 F-16 fighter jets from Denmark, according to Reuters.
Argentina has signed a contract with Denmark for the supply of 24 F-16 aircraft for its Air Force for approximately $300 million, the country's government announced on Tuesday.
President Javier Milei and Defense Minister Luis Petri announced the purchase in a video posted on X.

"With these new aircraft we are taking a transcendental step in our defense policy," said the Defense Minister in the video.
According to a government spokesperson, the purchase of the fighters cost Argentina $300 million.
"The contract is for around $300 million, below the market cost," said government spokesperson Manuel Adorni at a press conference.
President Milei's administration is cutting spending in other government agencies as part of efforts to correct imbalances affecting the economy.
F-16 for Ukraine
Earlier, we reported that Romania will receive three additional F-16 fighter jets from the Netherlands for training Ukrainian pilots.
By the way, Norwegian media have reported that the country may transfer 22 F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine, including non-workers.
