Report: The goal target Nicolas Jackson has set himself at Chelsea this season

Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson managed to score in his side’s impressive 6-0 win against Everton on Monday.

It took his tally of Premier League goals this season to 10, while the Senegal international has netted 13 times in all competitions.

Given that Nicolas Jackson is still just 22 and this is his first campaign in England, it is not the worst record.

In a squad possessing Christopher Nkunku and Raheem Sterling, only Cole Palmer has scored more goals than the former Villarreal man.

Of course, it is worth mentioning that Nkunku has barely played this term because of injuries. Journalist Simon Phillips recently claimed that the Frenchman is now starting to attract interest from Saudi Arabia.

The number of Premier League goals Nicolas Jackson is aiming to score

Jackson can be pleased that he has reached double figures for goals in the Premier League, which he achieved after scoring in Chelsea‘s win on Monday.

It seems, though, that the centre-forward is determined to register a few more before the season ends.

According to The Telegraph, Jackson wants to finish the Premier League campaign with at least 15 goals to his name.

The same outlet claims that he also feels that 20 goals across all competitions is possible.

He will have the chance to move closer to accomplishing that feat when Chelsea take on Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-finals on Saturday. Jackson has already scored against Pep Guardiola’s side, netting in a 4-4 draw at Stamford Bridge earlier in the season.

Will Nicolas Jackson get to 15 Premier League goals?

With Chelsea still having seven games left to play, it is certainly not impossible.

However, Jackson is going to have to go on a goalscoring run or grab a couple of braces to have a real chance of reaching his objective.

The Chelsea star is guilty of not being clinical enough, so he may just miss out here. But 10 goals as a young striker who has only just arrived in the Premier League is nothing to be shamed about.
