Report: Sources close to 777 Partners now rate their chances of achieving Everton takeover

Everton have seen their proposed takeover dragged out over this entire season, and yet we are still unlikely to see a solution anytime soon.

After all, a soft deadline had been put in place by the Premier League, only for 777 Partners to swiftly negotiate their way out, prolonging this already protracted process.

It is getting boring now, but at last we seem to have been handed an update.

After all, sources from besides the American outfit have now offered their verdict on whether we will see any progress.

777 Partners have Everton takeover chances rated

In a report released earlier this morning by iNews, a number of key Everton facets have been assessed by journalist Mark Douglas and their sources.

They offer a keen insight into the behind-the-scenes feeling on Sean Dyche, this ongoing loan debacle with MSP and more.

However, by far the most interesting and important is the takeover saga, which continues to drag on as 777 Partners continue to fail to meet deadlines.

They have been notoriously profligate in their attempts to assume control of the Toffees, and yet sources from near the Miami-based firm have reaffirmed their position on whether the takeover will be ratified.

Douglas writes: ‘i has been told 777 “remain confident” of fulfilling all of those and passing the Premier League’s owners’ and directors’ tests. Time will tell.

‘Those close to 777 Partners believe the extension moves the takeover much closer, granting the firm time to get its financial ducks in a row and also proving that there is little appetite on the part of MSP Sports Capital – who tried last year to take a stake in the club – to become majority owners.’

777 Partners need to sort their takeover strategy out

It is honestly getting quite tiring now, continuing to provide updates on 777 Partners’ inability to give the Premier League the necessary reassurances that they have what it takes to become owners of one of their clubs.

After all, it is not like they have not had ample time, having struck a deal with Farhad Moshiri back in September.

Nearly eight months on now and we feel no closer to a conclusion, despite the division having handed the organisation a set of four simple conditions to fulfil in order to achieve their goal.

Having already reneged on one of those by renegotiating a loan with MSP earlier this week, we are set to see this battered and bruised can kicked even further down the road.

When will it end? As the aforementioned report notes, only time will tell.
