Report: Arsenal could now ruin Ineos plan to bring 18-year-old wonderkid to Manchester United

Manchester United won’t be making any transfer decisions just yet, especially with Ineos still working on big moves.

Ineos want to completely change the direction of the club and that means making key appointments in the coming weeks and months.

Experienced operators seem to be the key for Ineos having targeted both Dan Ashworth and Jason Wilcox.

Both men have vast experience in the Premier League and are being lined up for sporting director and technical director roles respectively.

The deals are taking a little while to come off given the compensation United will need to pay to bring them to Old Trafford.

The hope is that United will at least have Wilcox on board for the summer transfer window, when United are expected to be busy.

Many players are expected to leave the club and Ineos will likely focus on bringing young talents to Old Trafford.

Arsenal could ruin Manchester United’s Aaron Anselmino plan

One of the young talents we have seen linked with a move to United is Boca Juniors talent Aaron Anselmino.

Reports in March suggested that United are planning to sign centre back Anselmino for around £15million this summer.

The rumoured plan was to sign Anselmino and then loan him straight onto Nice over in Ligue 1.

However, El Crack Deportivo in Argentina now claim that Arsenal have joined the race to sign Anselmino.

It’s suggested that Arsenal are ‘closely following’ Anselmino and could launch a move to sign him.

Boca’s asking price is now believed to be around €20million (£17million) but they are relaxed about his future.

There is an acceptance that Anselmino may well go, but the club will bring in a decent fee for his services if he is to leave.

United and Nice deals could materialise

Wonderkid Anselmino has shown real potential over in Argentina and is a real prospect for the future at just 18.

Spending money on players just to send them out on loan may raise a few eyebrows but Ineos will take a long-term approach to United’s rebuild.

The notion of a loan to Nice is interesting though and we could see deals struck with the Ligue 1 club.

Nice are owned by Ineos and that connection may see some moves come to fruition.

Defender Jean-Clair Todibo has been regularly linked with leaving Nice for United whilst Nice left back Melvin Bard was linked earlier in April.

Nice players could head to Old Trafford with United loaning young talents to France, aiming to keep everybody in the Ineos group happy.

That is an interesting situation but Arsenal may well ruin the Anselmino plans by swooping in to sign him themselves.
