The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, has published the text of an initiative regarding funding assistance to Ukraine, which could be approved as soon as this Saturday.
The document specifies that the total amount of assistance is $60.84 billion, of which $23.2 billion will be used to replenish American arms, stocks, and facilities.
In particular:
- $23.2 billion will be used to replenish defense goods and services provided to Ukraine,
- $11.3 billion will be used for current military operations of the US in the region,
- $13.8 billion will be used to purchase modern defense systems, goods, and services of defense nature,
- $26 million will be used for the continuation of monitoring and accountability for the assistance and equipment provided to Ukraine.
Ukraine attacks Russian airfield in Crimea - S-400 and command post potentially targeted
Sources of the RBC-Ukraine in Ukrainian Defense Forces and partisan movement Atesh revealed details about the aftermath of the strike on the Russian military airfield in temporarily occupied Dzhankoy (Crimea).
Sources inform that the strikes on Dzhankoy are the result of successful actions by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, the consequences and results of the strike are not yet definitively known.
Russian attack on Chernihiv: Three missile strikes, dead and many wounded

Ukrainian drones target Russian Aviation Plant in Tatarstan - Intelligence reveales
Last morning, UAVs from the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine attacked an aviation plant in Russian Tatarstan. The target was the Gorbunov Kazan Aircraft Plant, where the enemy manufactures and repairs Tu-22M and Tu-160M bombers, reports RBC-Ukraine's sources in the special services.
According to sources, explosions occurred on the territory of the Gorbunov Aviation Plant in Kazan on April 17 around 10 AM (Kyiv time). Local media and social media users reported that air raid sirens sounded in the area before the explosions. Simultaneously, personnel were evacuated from the plant's premises.
Russian Mi-8 helicopter destroyed in Samara - Ukraine's intelligence
On April 17, a Soviet multipurpose helicopter Mi-8 was destroyed at the Kryazh airfield located in Samara, Russian Federation, reports the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
According to intelligence, the Russian army used the helicopter in the war against Ukraine. In particular, the enemy transported weapons and personnel in it.
