Archie Gray was born in Durham, England, on March 12, 2006, which currently makes him 18 years old. The youngster grew up in the north Yorkshire region of England, with his family having plenty of ties to Leeds United.

Gray’s height is six foot, two inches tall, adding physicality to his game due to his size.

Archie Gray England and Scotland decision

Archie Gray qualifies to play for England or Scotland on the international stage. So far, he has represented the Three Lions through the youth ranks, playing for them from the under-15s up to the under-21s in recent call-ups.

While there is the possibility of a switch, Gray has pledged his allegiance to England, telling talkSPORT: “My hopes are to play for England, definitely. It’s where I’m from and where I’ve grown up. I’m three-quarters English, so that’s where’ I’m at.

“My dad is totally happy for whatever makes me happy, even though Eddie supports Scotland. But I’m the same as him, I’m happy as long as he’s happy. Hopefully I can [get an England call-up], but I’ve just got to take it step by step and keep focusing on my club football, which can hopefully attract the attention of whoever it is, whether it’s the Under-21s or it’s the first team.

“I’d be really happy just to play for my country. I’ve enjoyed every moment of playing for Leeds, I’m still a kid and I’m taking in every experience. I love being around the team and I’m enjoying every moment.”
