Ukrainian troops hold positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River and repelled Russian attacks near Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region. The Russian army tried to break through the defense near the village of Urozhaine, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
Over the past day, 71 combat engagements took place. In total, Russia launched 6 missile strikes and 63 air strikes and fired 41 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas.
Unfortunately, Russian attacks have resulted in injuries among the civilian population. High-rise buildings and private houses, as well as other infrastructure facilities, were destroyed and damaged.
Situation at frontlines
The operational situation remains unchanged in the Volyn and Polissia directions. No signs of enemy offensive groups were detected.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shells settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. The enemy conducted air strikes in the areas of Orlivka, the Sumy region; Vovchansk and Strilecha, the Kharkiv region.
More than 20 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Naberezhne, Kremskyi Bugor, Mykolaivka in Chernihiv region; Kliusy, Bilopillia, Brusky in Sumy region; Veterynarne, Kozacha Lopan, Gatyshche in Kharkiv region.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions, however, it conducted an air strike near Borova, Kharkiv region. About 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Sinkivka, Petropavlivka, and Stepova Novoselivka in the Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman direction, the Defense Forces repelled two attacks near Terny and Yampolivka in the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to break through the defense of the Ukrainian troops. The enemy also launched an air strike near Nevske, Luhansk region.
Artillery and mortar shelling damaged more than 10 settlements, including Makiivka and Nevske in the Luhansk region and Terny and Torske in the Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian troops repelled 17 attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region; Verkhnekamianske, Vyimka, Kalynivka, Chasiv Yar, Novyi, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Donetsk region, where the enemy was trying to improve its tactical position.
The enemy launched an air strike near the village of New York in the Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Hryhorivka, Kalynivka, Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 11 attacks near Novokalynove, Ocheretyne, Berdychi, and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to force Ukrainian units out of their positions.
The enemy also conducted air strikes near the settlements of Semenivka and Selydove in the Donetsk region. About 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Ocheretyne, Novobakhmutivka, and Umanske in the Donetsk region.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy near Novomykhailivka and Urozhaine in the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to break through the defense of the Ukrainian troops 12 times. The enemy also launched air strikes near Krasnohorivka, Oleksandropil, Vodiane, and Vuhledar in the Donetsk region.
More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Krasnohorivka, Paraskoviivka, and Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Orikhiv direction, Russian troops, with the support of aviation, attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders 3 times near Staromaiorske, Donetsk region; Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region. About 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Chervone, Bilohirya, Shcherbaky, and Pyatykhatky in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson direction, about 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Tyahynka, Ivanivka, Novotiahynka, and Poniativka in the Kherson region.
Situation on the left bank of the Dnipro River
The Russian army does not abandon its intention to displace Ukrainian units from the footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River.
