The world must help Ukraine ensure that every Russian missile is intercepted - Zelenskyy

Russian strike in Dnipro, April 19

At least three people have died, including a young child.

A high-rise residential building and the train station were damaged in the attack and rescue operations are ongoing, he said.

Elsewhere in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, three people were injured in a Russian attack on Kryvyi Rih, and three others were injured in a separate Russian attack on Synelnykovo.

Russia's ramped-up missile terror is spotlighting the urgent need for Ukraine's allies to transfer air defense systems to Ukraine.

"Every state that provides air defense systems to Ukraine, every leader who helps to convince partners that air defense should now not be in warehouses, but in real cities and communities suffering terrorist attacks, everyone who supports our defense - are lifesavers," Zelenskyy wrote.

“We must defeat Russian terror. Not only Ukraine, not only Ukrainians dream of this, it is a global need.”

Russia must be held accountable for its terror, and every missile and drone launched by the aggressor country against Ukraine must be shot down, he added.

"The world can guarantee this (that every missile is intercepted), the partners have the necessary capabilities," said Zelenskyy.

"This has been proven particularly in the skies of the Middle East, and it should work in European skies.”

Israel managed to down 99% of over 300 aerial targets, including all but four of 120 ballistic missiles, with the help of the United States, UK, France, Jordan, and other allies.
