‘Very talented’ Tottenham player says opponents are a lot more physical towards him after signing for Spurs

One recent addition for Tottenham Hotspur has now admitted he has noticed a lot more players kicking him after signing for Spurs.

A lot has changed over the last 12 months at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium following the appointment of Ange Postecoglou.

Daniel Levy has allowed the Australian to put his stamp on the squad since his arrival last summer with a number of signings.

The Lilywhites have seen players come and go already in the short space of time since Postecoglou’s appointment.

And the arrivals have had a big impact on the team with the signing of Micky van de Ven being perhaps the biggest example of that.

The upcoming summer transfer window could also see a number of new faces land at Hotspur Way as the 58-year-old looks to fine tune his squad.

But one signing who he has already brought on board at Spurs has admitted he has noticed an increase in fouls on him since signing for the club.

Tottenham player has admitted he’s being targeted after signing for Spurs

A number of players have now made the switch to Spurs since Postecoglou’s arrival and it is credit to the recruitment system that most of them have worked out.

There remains a question mark over a couple of them with Radu Dragusin still yet to really receive any game time.

WithCristian Romero and Van de Ven nailing down a solid partnership at the back, it has left the Romanian with extremely limited opportunities.

But Dragusin is one of the signings which has been identified as a long-term option for the club.

Swedish youngster Lucas Bergvall signed for Spurs in the January transfer window but returned to Djurgardens for the remainder of the campaign.

The youngster made the big decision to snub Barcelona in favour of making the move to north London which raised a few eyebrows.

But he has now admitted to Fotbollskanalen that he has already noticed players trying to kick him more in Sweden since signing for Spurs.

“Yes, of course it has become more. Absolutely. People probably want to push me now that I’ve signed for Tottenham. But that’s how it’ll be. You just have to get used to it. It won’t be less in the future,” Bergvall said.

What Dejan Kulusevski has also said about Lucas Bergvall

One of the factors behind Bergvall’s move to north London was the meeting with Dejan Kulusevski prior to the signing.

His compatriot was there at the Spurs facilities when he made the visit before putting pen to paper.

After the ‘very talented‘ midfielder made the move, Kulusevski shared what exactly was said between the pair when they met at Hotspur Way.

“I met him and it was nice to see him because I know him a bit. I told him the truth, the same as what I tell everyone. How good this club is and the plans for the future,” he said.
