CCTV image released by police investigating incident in which passer-by was bitten by cafe customer’s dog in Bishop’s Stortford

Police investigating a report of a dog out of control in Bishop’s Stortford town centre have released an image of a man they want to speak to.

The incident happened in Devoils Lane on Saturday 23 March at around 3.30pm.

It was reported that a man and his dog, described as a German shepherd-type breed, were sitting outside Café Mocha when the dog bit a passer-by, who was treated at the scene by police for his injuries.

PC Obinna Anoliefo, of the Bishop’s Stortford neighbourhood policing team, said: “I am appealing to the public to help us identify this man as he is believed to have been in the area at the time of the incident and may be able to assist with our enquiries.
