U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) voted "no" on Friday to a measure that could ultimately provide some assistance to war-torn Ukraine in its fight against Russia, but she was was heard speaking in favor of Ukrainian aid "until she needed MAGA," a former Republican colleague said.
Mace has long had to deal with the fact that, at first, she stood up aggressively against Donald Trump's actions on Jan. 6. Since that time, however, she has amended her positions to more closely match the former president's beliefs. She was confronted about this switch-up on Trump on Real Timewith Bill Maher just last month.
One of those switched positions, according to former Republican congressman Adam Kinzinger (R-IL), is Ukraine aid.

Kinzinger, known for dropping insider knowledge that blows up right-wing conspiracy theories, expressed frustration after Mace opposed the aid to Ukraine.
"Oh my lord [Mace] voted no. She literally has not a shred of decency," he said, referencing a report by Punch Bowl News that 151 Republicans voted yes. The report said the result was "decently impressive with everyone who was out against this."
Then, Kinzinger dropped the insider information about Mace's earlier position on Ukraine.
"I have personally heard her talk about the importance of Ukraine, until she needed MAGA," he said. "How vacant and empty of a person. Sad."
Commenters responding to Kinzinger seemed to agree with his assessment of Mace.
"[Mace] isn't a good person. She's soulless. She says she's a rape victim, but she supports a rapist," @miss_krisss wrote Friday.
@TNLiLi added, "I'm just amazed it took folks so long to see through the MAGA Mace's act."
One commenter even dubbed Mace "a disgrace."
@FourYearsBetter said, "She already admitted she has no shame #MaceTheDisgrace."
