During the night, six regions of the Russian Federation were attacked by strike drones. As a result of the air defense forces' actions, several objects in the energy infrastructure were damaged, fires broke out at the explosion sites, and civilians were killed in one of the settlements.

Belgorod region

Last night, three unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed by air defense forces over the territory of the Belgorod region.

According to Russian sources, explosions were heard near the town of Stary Oskol, and a bright flash was visible in the sky.

Eyewitnesses filmed a fire outside the city.

Later, Vyacheslav Gladkov, the governor of the Belgorod region, reported a UAV attack on the village of Istobnoye in the Gubkinsky district.

As a result of the non-detonating crash, there were no casualties, but the summer veranda of a private residential building was damaged.

Later, Gladkov reported that in the village of Porozh in the Grayvoronsky district of the Belgorod region, as a result of the dropping of two explosive devices, a private residential building caught fire.

As a result of the incident, two civilians died \- a woman with a fractured hip who was lying down, and a man who was caring for her. Their son managed to escape from the burning house at the last moment.

Due to the attack, a private residential building and a shed were destroyed, and another residential building was heavily damaged.

Bryansk region

Last night, drones also attacked the Bryansk region. Governor Alexander Bogomaz reported that five drones were destroyed over the Vygonytskyi district. As a result of the downed drone, a fire broke out at an energy infrastructure facility.

Bogomaz also reported the destruction of a plane-type drone over the territory of the Suzemskyi district of the Bryansk region. There were no casualties or damage.

Kursk region

Governor Roman Starovoit reported that Russian air defense forces destroyed five drones over the region.

The alarm was raised due to the threat of UAV attacks at 4:46 am.

Kaluga region

Governor Vladislav Shapsha reported that overnight in the Maloyaroslavets district, there was minor damage to the energy infrastructure due to a drone explosion near a power substation.

There were no casualties. Emergency services are on site repairing the damage.

Smolensk region

Governor Vasily Anokhin reported that around 2:00 am in the Kardimivsky district, drones attacked a fuel and energy complex facility.

As a result of the air defense forces' actions, the drones were shot down. However, the falling debris caused a fire in a fuel storage tank.

Emergency services are working to extinguish the fire. Information about any casualties is being clarified.

Ryazan region

According to Governor Pavel Malkov, drones over the Ryazan region were suppressed using air defense and electronic warfare means.

There are no reports of casualties or material damage.

What preceded this

Recently, reports from local authorities about drone attacks have become increasingly frequent in various regions of Russia. Such incidents are recorded in different areas of the aggressor state, but most often occur in border areas with Ukraine.

For example, on the night of April 19, a series of explosions occurred in the city of Belgorod and its surroundings. Drones and rockets were reported to have been shot down, and in the city, there was a rain of debris due to air defense operations.

On April 8, drones attacked the Bryansk Chemical Plant, which produces explosives.

On April 11, drones attacked the Mikhailovsky mining and processing plant in the Kursk region.

In March, drones attacked an oil refinery in Ryazan, causing a fire at the landing site.
