'I think...': Tim Sherwood names the one Liverpool player who has to play every game from now on

Liverpool are in for an exciting end to the season despite a miserable week which saw them knocked out of Europe and lose ground in the title race.

While disappointing to go out of the Europa League and lose against Crystal Palace last week, Liverpool are very much still a fixture in the title race.

As we know, for Liverpool to win the title they need to win their games and also hope Manchester City somehow drop some points.

Given recent history, City dropping those points seems unlikely.

Of course, one of the problems Liverpool have had in recent weeks has been scoring goals.

The likes of Luis Diaz, Mo Salah and Darwin Nunez have all found themselves out of form, and it has cost the Reds.

However, while there are calls for Jurgen Klopp from afar to maybe rest or drop one or more of those players, Tim Sherwood believes that one of that trio has to play every single week.

Tim Sherwood says Liverpool have to play £34m player every week

The eyes are always on you being a forward at a big club like Liverpool.

Of course, over the years, we’ve seen Mo Salah embrace that role and show that he is very much one of the very best in the world.

Salah has missed big chances lately, including a sitter at Atalanta in midweek.

But speaking on Sky Sports’ Soccer Saturday today, Tim Sherwood has insisted that Salah simply has to play every game from now on in.

“If he gives him a rest, who does he rest him for? I think you cannot give that man a rest. His numbers speak for itself over the years. He is proven. He is just having a spell, and he is having a spell at the wrong time. He has had chances,” Sherwood said.

Mo Salah has to keep playing

Out of form or not, Mo Salah is a player who has come up trumps for Liverpool on plenty of occasions and has to be played in the run-in.

Put simply, you just do not drop your best player when there is so much on the line.

Yes, Salah has missed chances recently but at the same time, he is such a massive threat as well.

If Jurgen Klopp was to drop Salah, and then his replacement missed the big chances, then the German coach would be slammed for moving his star man out of the line up.

Salah, then, simply has to play as Liverpool seek to remain in the title race.
