‘I’m sure’: Journalist says Tottenham would be open to selling ‘quality’ 24-year-old this summer

Tottenham’s recruitment over the summer was almost absolutely perfect.

Indeed, Spurs made a number of signings in the summer transfer window that have proven to be absolutely brilliant.

Micky Van de Ven, James Maddison and Guglielmo Vicario have all been home runs, while Brennan Johnson looks to be improving every single week.

However, there’s one summer signing who hasn’t had the best of debut seasons at TottenhamManor Solomon.

The Israeli winger has spent most of this campaign out injured, and according to Jack Pitt-Brooke, speaking on The View From The Lane, Spurs may even be open to selling Solomon this summer.

Tottenham open to selling Manor Solomon

Pitt-Brooke spoke about the ‘quality’ 24-year-old.

“I’m sure that Spurs would be open in the long-term to selling Solomon, I know he’s been injured. I think they would take a view of what the market was for Solomon this summer, the injuries obviously make it harder to do anything,” Pitt-Brooke said.

Manor Solomon’s terrible luck

There may not be a player in the Premier League who’s had worse luck than Solomon over the past two years or so.

He was forced to leave Shakhtar Donetsk due to the war in Ukraine, only for his loan move to Fulham to falter due to injuries.

Upon his return, he hit some great form and earned a move to Tottenham, but upon joining Spurs, his knee injuries continued to be an issue, and he’s barely played.

Now, he looks as though he could be on the move for a third time in as many years, and it’s hard to build up any level of consistency when you can’t find anywhere to settle in your career.

Solomon has bags of ability, and, in another world, he could be a quality player, but sadly, it hasn’t worked out at Tottenham.
