‘Absolutely furious’: Journalist noticed one Man City player was fuming during the first half vs Chelsea

A journalist highlighted one Manchester City player who didn’t look happy after one incident during the first half of their FA Cup semi-final game against Chelsea.

After getting knocked out of the Champions League on Wednesday by Real Madrid after extra time and penalties, the Citizens didn’t have to wait long until their next big game.

During the first half at Wembley Stadium, the actions of one particular City player caught the attention of one journalist who shared what he saw on social media.

In a recent post on his official X account, Lee had this to say on what he saw after Phil Foden missed a chance to score in the first half.

He said: “Rodri’s absolutely furious, not sure it’s the kind of body language that Guardiola’s looking for. Great chance for City there, brilliantly worked from everybody.”

Looking back to last season, Rodri was a very prominent figure in the team as they went on to win the Treble.

Therefore, he knows what is needed to win trophies and how important it is to take chances, especially in knockout games.

Was Rodri right to be angry?

Given their big midweek disappointment, we feel that it’s no surprise that Rodri was angry with this missed chance from Foden, especially when they had so many chances against Real on Wednesday but were ultimately knocked out of the Champions League.

While this reaction may not be what Guardiola wants to see from his players, it shows how passionate is to win games and push his team forward.

Moving forward, if the Spaniard can get into the right frame of mind and help his teammates do their best on the pitch and set an example in doing so, they could go on to have a very successful end to their season in our view.
