The US House of Representatives approves the transfer of frozen Russian assets to Ukraine.

The US passed a law on REPO. Among other things, it allows the US president to transfer seized Russian assets to Ukraine.

According to Ukraine's Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova, the document stipulates that no later than 90 days after its adoption, the US President must submit a report to Congress that will list each individual and legal entity subject to EU and UK sanctions.

The REPO law will allow Ukraine to transfer up to $8 billion of seized Russian assets.

The US Congress will also vote on aid to Ukraine today, on April 20. Read more about what to expect in the RBC-Ukraine article.
