Manchester City may no longer be in double treble contention, but they’re still within reach of a domestic double after reaching the FA Cup final.
Pep Guardiola’s Citizens bounced back from their Champions League quarter-final loss to Real Madrid by beating Chelsea in their FA Cup semi-final at Wembley on Saturday.
Manchester City and Chelsea contested a fairly even game, but the Blues were wasteful and the Citizens duly punished them with a late second-half winner.
The goal came in the 84th minute, as Jeremy Doku slipped in Kevin de Bruyne, who then pulled the ball back.
Although Chelsea keeper Djordje Petrovic got a foot onto it, the ball landed to Bernardo Silva, who duly slotted home past a defender on the line.

Just a few minutes later, Guardiola was spotted screaming at Phil Foden on the touchline for not keeping the ball and misplacing a pass.
BBC Sport pundit Jermaine Jenas, commentating on the game, picked up on this too, and described what he saw.
“Pep Guardiola is shouting at Phil Foden to keep the ball,” Jenas said on BBC One. “Foden is absolutely getting it from his manager.”
Man City saw the game out and booked themselves another day out at Wembley, with either Manchester United or Coventry City awaiting them in the final.

Honestly, in my opinion, there’s nothing to it. If you’re to play for one of the best teams in the world, standards will be sky-high.
When you’ve got a player like Foden (one of the best in the Premier League) making a tiny error and getting admonished for it as we saw, it just goes to show how high the standards are under Guardiola.
And with Man City only holding a 1-0 lead, there was no room for error. Luckily it all worked out well in the end for everyone in sky blue, especially the £225,000-a-week midfielder.
