Russia's losses in Ukraine as of April 21: Over 900 occupiers and 41 artillery systems

Russia's losses in the war in Ukraine as of Sunday morning, April 21, amounted to 950 occupiers per day, with a total of 459,530 Russian military personnel lost since the invasion began. Additionally, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 41 artillery systems and 4 air defense systems, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat losses of the adversary from February 24, 2022, to April 21, 2024, are estimated as follows:

  • Personnel - 459,530 (+950) individuals eliminated;
  • Tanks - 7,229 (+16) units;
  • Combat armored vehicles - 13,896 (+23) units;
  • Artillery systems - 11,719 (+41) units;
  • MLRS - 1,046 units;
  • Air defense systems - 767 (+4) units;
  • Aircraft - 348 (+1) units;
  • Helicopters - 325 units;
  • Tactical UAVs - 9,379 (+38) units;
  • Cruise missiles - 2,115 units (+6);
  • Ships/boats - 26 units;
  • Submarines - 1 unit;
  • Motor vehicles and tank trucks - 15,785 (+68) units;
  • Specialized equipment - 1,926 (+8) units.

Frontline situation

According to the Institute for the Study of War, Ukrainian forces have advanced to the south of Kreminna in the Luhansk region. Meanwhile, in the Donetsk region, the occupiers have made slight progress near Chasiv Yar and established a small tactical foothold on the outskirts of Ocheretyne near Avdiivka.

Over the past day, Ukrainian military repelled 32 enemy attacks in the Avdiivka direction, held positions, and repulsed assaults by occupation forces on the Kherson direction. Aviation struck 8 enemy personnel concentration areas.
