Nottingham Forest predicted team vs Everton: Nuno makes two changes, 26-year-old dropped

Nottingham Forest take on Everton today at Goodison Park and we’ve looked at a predicted team that he might call upon.

The stakes really couldn’t be any higher today. Luton were smashed 5-1 by Brentford yesterday and this afternoon is a huge opportunity for both Everton and Forest.

Whoever takes the three points this afternoon will be well-placed to survive relegation from the Premier League this season. The losers will remain in big trouble.

Ahead of this afternoon’s game, we’ve looked at a predicted team that Forest could call upon.

Predicted Nottingham Forest team to play Everton

In goal, Matz Sels will definitely get the nod. He is now the established number-one goalkeeper at the City Ground.

Ahead of Sels, we don’t envisage much change being brutally honest, with the back four largely picking itself.

Andrew Omobamidele and Murillo will start as the central defensive pairing. Neco Williams and Ola Aina set to play on the right and left respectively.

In central midfield, we think there could be a change on the horizon.

Ryan Yates has dropped a couple of pretty underwhelming performances and that could see Nicolas Dominguez come into the side today.

He will almost certainly partner Danilo – with Morgan Gibbs-White starting in the number 10 and taking the captain’s armband from Yates.

The Brazilian has been linking up well with Gibbs-White and that’s a duo that could harm Everton today.

Out wide, the hope will be that Anthony Elanga can return to the fold. He’s been managed this week and hopefully, he and Callum Hudson-Odoi can take their places out-wide.

Upfront, it will beChris Wood who takes the role of leading the line and he will be looking to add to his tally of 13 goals this season.

Who else is in contention for Forest vs Tottenham?

Espirito Santo is once again sweating on the fitness of Taiwo Awoniyi and Willy Boly for this one.

If both players are fit they will definitely come into the head coach’s thinking for this clash.

Giovanni Reyna started against Wolves last weekend but he looks likely to drop out today if Forest winger Elanga is fit to play.

Rodrigo Ribeiro also delivered an eyecatching cameo last weekend and he too will hope to play a part during the clash this afternoon.

There will be plenty of midfield options on the bench with Yates, Ibrahim Sangare and Cheikhou Kouyate both likely to be in the squad.

Divock Origi will provide further competition for a place in attack, whilst Matt Turner will be the substitute goalkeeper.
