'I know': Glenn Murray shares the one thing Nottingham Forest need to do vs Everton

Glenn Murray has explained how Nottingham Forest can get some real joy at Everton this afternoon.

The Reds face the Toffees at Goodison Park and the stakes really couldn’t be any higher.

Just a point separates the two teams with both having suffered points deductions during the 2023/24 campaign.

Now, Nuno Espirito Santo will lock horns with Sean Dyche and whichever team wins will feel quite confident of Premier League survival.

Forest lost 1-0 to Everton back in December and it was probably the game that saw the beginning of the end for Steve Cooper.

The Toffees lost 6-0 to Chelsea on Monday night and Murray believes Forest will have to head to Merseyside with one thing on their mind.

Glenn Murray shares what Nottingham Forest must do today

If there is one thing that Everton fans love to do, it’s boo! Naturally, Forest have to turn Goodison Park nasty today.

The Reds have the players to seriously hurt Everton but they will have to withstand some pressure at some points.

Murray thinks the Reds have to go there with a clear game plan to frustrate this afternoon’s hosts.

He told the Football Daily Podcast: “I don’t know what’s going on at the club, at the moment it just feels toxic for whatever reason, and I know if Forest can stay in the game… I was at Forest last weekend when they drew with Wolves and they were good.

“I know that if they could hold out for 20 minutes that place could really turn.”

Forest can exploit Everton weaknesses

The Reds shouldn’t have anything to fear this afternoon. Everton are in hopeless form at the moment and Forest can’t leave wondering what might have been.

Murray is spot on about Forest. They have to stay in the game this afternoon and the longer they do that, the more disgruntled the home contingency will become.

It’s time for Nuno Espirito Santo to get his team firing. Last weekend against Wolves there were some clear signs of progress but once again defensive frailties reared their ugly head.

Forest need a big three points to come from somewhere and hopefully, the boos will be ringing around Goodison Park after a Forest victory this afternoon.
