Arsenal are now leading all Premier League clubs in key attacking stat after Wolves win

Six Arsenal players have now reached a Premier League milestone this season which sets the Gunners apart from the rest of the league.

Arsenal reclaimed top spot in the Premier League table with a 2-0 win over Wolves on Saturday evening.

In the final minutes of an otherwise frustrating first half for the Gunners, Leandro Trossard’s effort from the edge of the penalty area arced into the top corner to put Mikel Arteta’s side ahead and gave them a much-needed boost.

The visitors were then able to keep Wolves at arm’s length throughout the second half, as the Gunners recorded their sixth successive Premier League clean sheet on the road. Goalkeeper David Raya also impressed Arsenal fans with his authoritative performance between the sticks.

In the dying moments of the match, Martin Odegaard was able to wrap up the result with a well-placed finish from a tight angle.

This was a vital win for Arsenal, and the goals will have provided a much-needed confidence boost after they fired blanks in their last two outings.

Arsenal leading Premier League in key goalscoring stat

The Gunners have shared the goals around this season. Much has been made of Arsenal’s need for a new striker in the upcoming summer transfer window. Due to their present lack of a prolific goalscorer, though, they have to score goals by committee.

When it comes to sharing the burden of finding the back of the net, the Gunners have been more successful than any other Premier League side this season.

As reported by Squawka, in the wake of this win over Wolves, six Arsenal players have now reached double figures in terms of goal contributions in the Premier League this season so far. No other side in the division has as many players with 10+ goal contributions to their name.

Leandro Trossard joins list of top Arsenal goal threats

Trossard was the latest player to join this list. His strike against Wolves on Saturday was his ninth Premier League goal of the season so far, and he has also contributed one assist in the competition.

Bukayo Saka is currently topping the charts for Arsenal in this regard. The 22-year-old winger has 22 Premier League goal contributions under his belt. Odegaard, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Martinelli, and Declan Rice have all also reached double figures in terms of combined Premier League goals and assists.

If Arsenal are to be crowned champions this season, they need to win all of their remaining matches. They need their attacking contingent to keep chipping in with goals from all areas.
