'A joy to have him...' Mikel Arteta in awe of Arsenal 'magician' vs Wolves

Mikel Arteta was in awe of an Arsenal ‘magician’ yesterday in the north London side’s 2-0 win against Wolves.

The Gunners were back to doing what they do best this season having failed to win in their last three games in all competitions, with Arsenal’s result against Wolves sending Arteta’s side back to the top of the Premier League.

Whilst the likes of William Saliba were unimpressive in the win, Arsenal claiming three points ahead of a massive week that will see the Gunners face Chelsea at Emirates Stadium and then Tottenham away is nothing short of huge.

And Arteta was very impressed with one Arsenal player in particular at full-time.

Leandro Trossard praised after ‘composed’ Arsenal performance vs Wolves

Speaking to the press via Arsenal’s official website, Arteta lauded Leandro Trossard after the Belgian international scored the crucial goal to get the north London side rolling against Wolves, with the winger coming up clutch yet again.

Winning praise from Martin Keown and Theo Walcott, it was a big performance from Trossard, who with 14 goals in all competitions this season has been one of Arsenal’s most reliable attackers when a hero is needed.

Indeed, Trossard has come up big at the right moments for Arsenal in numerous matches for the Gunners, and Arteta was pleased with how the 29-year-old performed on Sunday against Wolves.

Arteta said on Trossard’s performance: “He’s a little magician. He can score on any surface and he’s a big threat; so composed, so cool, he can play in different positions. It’s just a joy to have him in the team.”

Trossard magic has kept Arsenal’s Premier League dream alive

Arsenal were far from their best last night as a number of players looked exhausted after such a long and grueling season, with many star names in desperate need of rest heading into the run-in.

Which is why Trossard’s thunderbolt in the first-half could go down as one of the most important goals this season from Arsenal if the north London side do go all the way to win the Premier League.

The strike put the Gunners ahead and gave Arsenal the confidence needed to go all the way and win against Wolves, who were there for the taking from the first minute onwards.
