‘Unbelievable’: Sky Sports pundit raves about two ‘untouchable’ Crystal Palace players in 5-2 win

Crystal Palace recorded an emphatic 5-2 win over West Ham on Sunday afternoon, with two of Oliver Glasner’s stars earning high praise for their performances.

For the first time this season, Crystal Palace have recorded back-to-back wins in the Premier League, as Oliver Glasner’s side added to their win against Liverpool with a victory over West Ham.

The Eagles ensured the game was won early on at Selhurst Park, as the score at the interval read 4-1 to the hosts, seeing the result mark the first time in Palace’s Premier League history that the club has scored four goals in the first half.

Just like last weekend at Anfield, it was a day to remember for Glasner’s side, who were rampant against the Hammers, winning 5-2 and most importantly, picking up three points.

There were a host of top performers on the day for the Eagles however, two players stuck out for their individual brilliance, receiving significant praise for their influence in the big victory.

Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze dubbed ‘untouchable’ for their display v West Ham

Last week, Glasner was able to see the full force of Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise, as the Austrian started the pair together for the first time in his reign.

It’s rare that the duo ever fall below par, as highlighted by their displays against Bournemouth, where the two forwards shone alongside Jean Philippe-Mateta in generating wave after wave of exciting attacking play.

During the game, Sky Sports pundit Rob Earnshaw waxed lyrical about Eze and Olise, lauding the duo as ‘untouchable’ and applauding Palace’s general performance.

“It’s been one of the best 30 minutes I’ve seen in the Premier League this season. Eze and Olise are untouchable, unbelievable.”

The praise is justifiable by the sheer brilliance of Palace’s leading creators, with the pair recording a magnificent 13 goal contributions over their past four stars together, a remarkable statistic.

Oliver Glasner is seeing the worth of Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise

It’s not been easy for Glasner since arriving at Palace back in February however, things look to be on the up as the manager continues to put his stamp on the squad he inherited from Roy Hodgson.

While it’s a delight to see Eze and Olise performing to such a high standard for the boss, it’s a shame that the Austrian has had to wait to have the pair available, with both forwards struggling with injury this term.

With five games left to play this season, Palace will hope to have their prized pairing available for the remainder of the campaign, particularly after their mastery against West Ham.
