The U.S. Supreme Court declined to take up an appeal by Kari Lake of her Arizona election loss nearly two years ago.

The Republican gubernatorial candidate challenged the use of electronic voting machines in the 2022 election, but two lower courts have already dismissed the lawsuit after finding that Lake and GOP state legislator Mark Finchem had not been harmed in such a way that allows them to sue, reported CNN.

The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said Lake's lawsuit was based on speculation that the machines could be hacked and described the nature of her complaint as unclear.

Lake had sued Arizona secretary of state and the boards of supervisors for Maricopa and Pima Counties, and all three parties waived their right to respond to the Supreme Court challenge, which suggests they believed the lawsuit was frivolous.

The failed gubernatorial candidate is currently running for U.S. Senate in the Republican primary.
