Sweden may provide Ukraine with RBS 70 air defense missile systems. This could ease the pressure on the Patriot system, according to Swedish Defense Minister Pål Jonson.

He also added that Sweden is considering financing the purchase of air defense systems.

"Right now we are focused on a financial contribution and also probably a transfer of RBS 70 because that could ease pressure on the Patriot systems," Pål Jonson said.

According to the head of the Swedish Defense Ministry, Ukraine needs more artillery shells and new systems to protect the sky.

The RBS 70 is a portable short-range anti-aircraft missile system. The device is command-and-control, and the missile is guided by a laser. Its key advantage is the ability to work effectively in conditions of counteraction to thermal traps or electronic warfare.
