The United States of America is preparing another package of military aid for Ukraine. It will be larger than usual, reports Politico.

According to Politico, two American officials have revealed that the Biden administration is preparing a military aid package for Ukraine larger than usual. This package will include armored vehicles in addition to urgently needed artillery systems and air defense assets.

"Officials, who wished to remain anonymous, stated that Defense Department officials are still putting the finishing touches on the potential new tranche, but they want it to be ready to go soon after President Joe Biden signs off on a bill to provide tens of billions of dollars in additional aid for Kyiv," they said.

According to the source, the package currently being worked on by the Pentagon will be significantly larger than the last tranche of $300 million. It is likely to include Bradley Fighting Vehicles. One of the American officials stated that the package is also expected to include old Humvees and M113 armored personnel carriers, as well as missiles.

According to another source, the aid package will include artillery and air defense assets.

A Pentagon representative declined to comment.

US aid to Ukraine

On March 12, the administration of US President Joe Biden announced a new $300 million military aid package that they will allocate to Ukraine.

At that time, the US Department of Defense did not publish a detailed list of the weapons included in the new support package. However, it is worth noting that missiles can be transferred to Ukraine without prior announcement.
