The Telegraph go as far to say as that Ten Hag is ‘on trial’, with new technical director Jason Wilcox now carrying out an audit on the manager’s future.

There is growing speculation over the manager, however, Fabrizio Romano reports that the game against Coventry City has not shifted the dial.
He insists that even a shock defeat would not have led to an instant decision on the Dutchman.
Speaking to The United Stand, he explained: “Their final decision will be made closer to the end of the season.
“I don’t think they would have any reaction after the game even if they lost to Coventry.”

TheGerman press have been reporting that outgoing Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel is subject of interest from Manchester United – per Kicker.
However, Romano says there has been no contact and that these claims are wide of the mark.
He said: “Ineos keep their position, they are not having discussions with any managers yet. They are having internal discussions.
“No, there is nothing concrete at this point. There is many people at Ineos who appreciate many different managers.
“We heard the same about Potter, Southgate, many others, there are many.”
Asked about any contact with Tuchel, he responded: “At the moment there is absolutely nothing,” adding, “to mention names is really early.”
Erik ten Hag meanwhile is preparing for the Premier League game at home to Sheffield United. He will say every game is a ‘must win’, and this is one where anything less than a straightforward victory will heighten the pressure on him.
