Paranoid MAGA and Trump-endorsed candidate: Hillary Clinton is plotting to kill me

If you see Kari Lake looking over her shoulder, she’s watching for Hillary Clinton.

Lake, the paranoid, election-denying Arizona Senate candidate who lost the gubernatorial race two years ago, claimed for the second time in two years that Clinton is trying to kill her.

On a recent podcast with election law attorney Marc Elias, Clinton said that GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump aspires to be an autocrat like Russian president Vladimir Putin, and she reminded listeners that Trump has promised revenge if he is elected to a second presidential term.

“His bromance with Putin ... it was actually called that by the former prime minister of Australia who said he saw Trump with Putin, and Trump was just gaga over Putin,” she said. “Because Putin does what he would like to do: Kill his opposition, imprison his opposition, drive journalists and others into exile, rule without any check or balance. That’s what Trump really wants.”

Lake interpreted that to mean that Clinton was alleging Trump would have his enemies killed — like Putin does — and Lake basically said, well, it takes one murderer to know another.

Hillary Clinton has 3-word mantra for voters (and it’s not ‘Lock him up!’)

“That’s really rich coming from a woman like Hillary Clinton,” Lake said. “How many of her friends have mysteriously died or committed suicide?”

She added: “It’s comical that Hillary is talking about Trump wanting to kill his opponents. I just want to say, as I’m speaking about this topic, I want everyone out there to know that the brakes on my car have recently been checked and they work. I’m not suicidal. Hillary, I don’t mean any harm to you, please don’t send your henchmen out to me. We understand what you’re about.”

In her failed bid for governor in 2022, Lake used the same lines when Clinton campaigned against her.

“I was a little concerned today when I saw Hillary bad-mouthing me,” she said then. “I want you to know I’m in perfect health, my brakes in my car are in good shape, and I’m not suicidal.”

Here’s how converted Republican Ron Filipkowski described Lake’s candidacy:

“Arizona voters have to decide if they want a Senator representing them who claims the 2020 election was stolen, the 2022 election was stolen, that the Democrats will try to steal 2024; who loved Obama but now loves Trump; who praised [Ron] Desantis, then trashed him; who was a Buddhist but now a Christian; who trashed [John] McCain supporters in 2022, but now wants them to support her; who conceded liability in a defamation case while claiming victory; and who just had a conservative Supreme Court reject her most recently appeal to try to overturn her loss in the Governor’s race.”
