'You're not ready!' Andrew Pierce and Richard Tice in feisty exchange on Reform UK and June election

Reform UK leader Richard Rice endured a grilling during a feisty interview with GB News presenter Andrew Pierce.

Andrew was very critical of Tice’s party, suggesting they are “not ready” for the general election which its honorary president, Nigel Farage, believes will take place in June.

He did not hold back as he continued to question Tice, adding the party has nominated “weirdos” to stand for them.

“You will fear that [a summer election]”, he said.

He added: “You are not ready. Do you have candidates in every seat? What about all the ones you had to kick off because they are weirdos?”

Tice insisted his party “will be ready” and it has the candidates in place to stand in every constituency.

“We have got so many more people applying”, he said.

“We will be ready. We have the candidates, the money, we have more money coming in.

“The membership is growing rapidly”, he added, to which Andrew interjected: “You always tell us that, but never tell us how many.”

“Because it’s true”, said Tice. “We have got donors coming in. We are standing 630 candidates across England, Scotland and Wales.”

The frosty debate continued with Andrew suggesting Reform could have one thing in their favour, a coherent policy on stopping small boat migrant crossings.

“This could be a powerful message, ‘we’re the only party with a powerful policy to turn back the boats’,” he said.

Tice responded: “All Labour is going to do is try and deal with the people smugglers, that won’t stop the boats. Sunak is not stopping the boats.

“The only kind and compassionate policy is pick up and take back. They should be doing that now and people will stop dying.

“Our policy is the only policy that works. We can do it now, we’re legally entitled, but we don’t have the guts and the courage to do it.

“Tony Abbott did it in Australia and got a load of flack from the leftie lawyers and the international lawyers.”
