The sessions will take place today (April 23) between 7pm and 8pm and on Thursday, April 25 between 2pm and 3pm.

A view of The Workhouse, Southwell, Nottinghamshire, a C19th institution for paupers, with the vegetable garden in the foreground.

It is dedicated to those intrigued by tales of an ancestor living in a workhouse and have ever wanted to research about their family history.

The talk through the sessions will last around 45 minutes with time for questions at the end.
