In the village of Kozachi Lageri on the temporarily occupied left bank of the Kherson region, the Ukrainian soldiers have installed the flag of Ukraine on a local water tower, according to the lieutenant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the call sign Alex.

"Guys from the 35th Marine Brigade manually installed a flag on a water tower in the village of Kozachi Lageri on the left bank of the Kherson region," Alex said.

He added that the Russian soldiers had already received an urgent order to remove the Ukrainian flag from the tower by any means.

It should be noted that Kozachi Lageri currently has the status of a temporarily occupied settlement.

Situation in the Kherson region

Kherson and the right-bank part of the region were liberated from the Russian forces in the fall of 2022. After that, the Russian army began shelling the region daily with aircraft, drones, and artillery.

In the fall of 2023, it became known that Ukrainian soldiers were consolidating on the left bank of the Kherson region, particularly at the bridgehead near the settlement of Krynky.

Currently, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to hold the bridgehead in Krynky, and combat operations continue.
