Marcel Desailly says £54m Man City player has the best right foot in the world

Marcel Desailly has claimed that one Manchester City player has the best right foot out of anyone in world football.

Having played for clubs such as Chelsea, AC Milan and Marseille, winning numerous domestic and European titles along the way, as well as winning the World Cup with France, the former defender knows what it’s like to play with and against a wide range of top-quality players.

Now though, the 55-year-old has been highlighting some players he feels are particularly special, with one current City player getting a mention.

In a recent video shared on Goal’s official TikTok channel where he was asked to build his ultimate footballer by picking players based on their left foot, right foot, strength, speed and football intelligence, Desailly picked Kevin De Bruyne as having the best right foot.

City paid £54m to sign the midfielder from Wolfsburg back in the 2015 summer transfer window.

Since then, the 32-year-old has made 375 appearances for the Blues across all competitions, scoring 101 goals and providing 166 assists along the way.

Out of his 67 Premier League goals, 45 of them have been scored with his right foot.

This and his impressive assists record make it easy to see why Desailly picked the City star for his right foot.

Kevin De Bruyne could be very important in the title race

Having missed a big chunk of the season with a hamstring injury that required him to have surgery, we feel that if the Blues had De Bruyne available for the entire campaign, they would be in a better position in the title race than they already are.

With only six games left to play in the league, we feel that if the Belgian can use his right foot to deliver more goals and assists for his side, he’ll give Pep Guardiola’s team a great chance of potentially making history and becoming the first side to win a fourth Premier League title in a row.
