Kentucky coach Mark Pope will no longer visit five-star center and former Wildcats commit Jayden Quaintance on Tuesday, KSR‘s Matt Jones reported. Pope was originally supposed to make an in-home visit in attempt sway him to honor his commitment.

Quaintance requested a release from his National Letter of Intent after the news that John Calipari was leaving Lexington to become the head coach at Arkansas. However, it was reported earlier Tuesday that Quaintance is no longer considering the Razorbacks.

Quaintance is the nation’s No. 8 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the top center in the 2024 On3 Top 150.

The McDonald’s All-American has already visited Louisville, is scheduled to visit Memphis this Friday.
